yes i am finally discharged from hospital!
hee and dont know fortunately or unfortunately, i finally have something to blog about and ample time to type my post.
the past 4 days have been very eventful, shall repeat whatever happened like how i did dutifully to all the docs and nurses in hospital =.=

had difficulties breathing during training on friday suddenly with pain at the neck and the chest.
then at night could only sleep for ard 3 hours while i was on bed for 10hours because it was just too painful and i was constantly short of breath.

got admitted into Alexandra hospital on saturday noon because of some tear in my windpipe which caused air leak underneath my skin at the neck area. doctor said it had potential of causing infection to othe major organs or even suffocation. had to stay in the (surgical intensive care unit) sicu cause doctor said the injury poses dangers to my life which stunned my parents. the care was really intensive, with around 10 wires connected to me to dont know measure what. i survived on 40ml of water and no food for a day as i was on drips (world record anot? xD) the doctor also commented that there might be an emergency operation to slice open my throat to put in another pipe should i stop breathing. that sure scared the hell out of me cause i hate anything poking into me =.= icu was sure an interesting experience, the facilities, doctors and nurses look damn pro. and their uniforms are like those of grey anatomy haha.

got transferred outta icu next afternoon to general ward which bore me alot i had nothing to do except to lie on the bed and wait for next meal to come =.=
tried watching the tv but realised i cannot hear it and turning it too loud might disturb too much patients. so in the end went back to my bed and try to sleep.
i was woken up next morning by the nurse who wanted to take my temperature and blood pressure
monday was generally better in my ward as more doctors came into to examine me, pressing my neck everywhere =.=, including some groups of medical students from NUS who were taking their exams there.
one group used me for their revision by doing some weird irrelevant test on me. aye but at least it beats lying on your bed and waiting for meals to come. then had another x-ray in the noon then doctor declared that i can be discharged on monday night as x-rays did not show further damage to my windpipe. :D

people to thank for curbing my boredom during my hospital stay - dearest dearest, friends whom i disturbed via sms to talk to me, 5M peiwen and sijie for visiting me with gifts and my family who spent alot of time visiting me. also many thanks to teachers and friends who expressed concern and wished me well. last but not least the nurses and doctors of the hospital in charge of ICU bed 2 and general ward 12 bed 15! this hospital stay has shown me why doctors and nurses are known as noble professions!

on a sidenote, i knew my chem marks ytd when my class visited me in hospital. haha i have completed a combo of 4 failures this term! =.=
